Pollock is one of the most common fish eaten in America. Pollock is a bland tasting fish, but most Americans prefer this fish because of the versatility of being able to use different seasoning to intensify the flavor. We keep a tight low moisture spec on our Pollock to insure that our customers never have a quality issue. Pollock is a member of the Cod family. There are two main species— Alaskan and Atlantic Pollock. Alaskan Pollock is also known as Walleye Pollock. Alaskan Pollock is fished up in the Bering Sea and is either landed in Russia, Alaska, or Japan. Pollock is the world’s most abundant white fish. Alaskan Pollock is low in saturated fat. It is a good source of magnesium and potassium as well as being an excellent source of protein, Vitamin B12, phosphorous and selenium.
