Bonito is closely related to the family of Tuna. Some call it White Tuna, but it can’t be legally called Tuna. Tuna get to be really big in size and Bonito are about 5 to 10 times smaller than Skipjack and Yellowfin Tuna. The meat color cooks up really white. It is rich in protein, fat, omega-3, vitamins, and minerals. Bonito is commonly used in Asian cuisine.
Used in application where Tuna would be used such as on salads, pasta, rice, and snacks.
