Blue Runner is closely related to Pompano. It cooks well in any application. The flesh is firm when cooked, but the meat can easily flake off. Blue Runner are predator fish that predominantly feed on crab, shrimp, and plankton. They are a very sustainable fish and can reproduce and grow to maturity fairly quick. Blue Runner is an oily fish sort of like Mackerel and has a strong fish flavor that some cultures absolutely love. It’s meat color is more so red.
